A one level villa was extended with an additional floor on top as well as being given a more open plan at the existing floor. The main theme was large glass windows overlooking the garden and pool to the west. New and lowered windows absorb the garden at the bottom level.

The staircase to the upper floor was custom made and created a central focus in the house. Built-in lighting by the steps and a skylight directly above the stairs makes it a light and connecting link. French balcony doors can be opened outwards at the upper floor.

At the entrance façade there is a bay built above the entrance which glows like a welcoming lantern. The upper floor holds master bedroom with a suite dressing room and bathroom, a common room with a fireplace as well as two small bedrooms and a separate toilet/shower.
